While we often feel grief after the loss of a loved one, grief means more than just “bereavement.” It arises from many sources, including divorce, financial difficulty, health challenges, empty-nesting, the loss of a pet, and any other significant change or loss.

I’m Julie Blitzer, a Grief Recovery Method (GRM) Specialist based in Westport, CT. Through Authentic Matters, I provide  compassionate grief support that enables my clients to navigate heart-aching experiences with grace.

For much of my life, my M.O. was to repress feelings, including grief. Now, however, I no longer fear big feelings. I know there is great power in acknowledging them, and helping others do the same.
