“What we leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.”

Honoring Lives Through Ceremony

Saying goodbye to someone who has died is one of the hardest things we do in life.

But it’s important.

And how a family designs this ritual can make a big difference in the healing process.

A person’s life story is a sacred thing, so I feel privileged to be a Certified Funeral Celebrant–a life tribute professional who helps families during their time of loss, specifically by planning a funeral service that is personalized to reflect the personality and life-style of the deceased.

In this role, I sit with family members to share memories, recall special moments, and hear anecdotes about the deceased to help develop a meaningful service, whether it be a funeral and/or graveside service, or a scattering of ashes ceremony.

We will work together to create a secular memorial but religious texts and/or songs can certainly be included if they’re desired. I invite family members to be thoughtful and creative while maintaining sensitivity to how intense the grief journey can be.

I am passionate about honoring the deceased with deep reverence and holding space for the bereaved, and I welcome the opportunity to support families in remembering their loved one’s spirit with distinction and grace.
